A love story that started with a borrowed phone
Ashley and Justin were married at Ocoee Lakeshore Center, just west of Orlando, Florida. Their story started with a phone that wasn’t his. Justin was in training with Ashley’s friend Opal, and once he saw who was on the other end of Opal’s calls, he kept taking that phone. For two weeks. Those borrowed calls turned into unlimited phone calls and unlimited plane rides, and Ashley flew to Florida to meet him for the first time.
Justin says he knew on September 3rd, 2025. When people asked how he knew so soon, his answer never changed: he felt it the moment he saw her.
Vows that made room for everyone
Their vows are the heart of this film. Ashley told Justin he gives her the safest space to simply be, to feel and to heal. Then she turned to his son and made him a promise too, welcoming him as her bonus son.
Justin vowed to always prioritize Ashley and to keep their home covered “not only through prayer, but through my actions.” Faith ran through the whole day, from the proverb his mom and grandma always preached to his mom’s words at the reception, calling the day a fulfillment of her prayers.
A first look with dad and a foot washing
Before the ceremony, Ashley’s first look was with her dad. He waited with his back to the door while she walked in, and the moment she tapped his shoulder and he turned around is one of the most emotional in the film.
During the ceremony, Ashley and Justin washed each other’s feet. Justin knelt first, then Ashley took her turn. A foot washing is a picture of humble, serving love, and it fit a couple whose vows were built around faith and putting each other first.
Filming at Ocoee Lakeshore Center
Ocoee Lakeshore Center gave us a white pergola ceremony site, wide lawns under the oaks, and a ballroom for the reception. Glam Floral Designs filled the aisle and the pergola with white florals, and a live harpist played for the ceremony. We kept the ceremony coverage unobtrusive so every vow and every laugh came through clearly.
